How to Download & Migrate Emails from AOL Mail?

Step-1) Download eSoftTools AOL Backup & Migration Software and launch it on your windows PC.

Enter AOL account Emails Address and App Password, then hit the Login button.

Step-2) Get list of all mail folders of your AOL account into the software.

Step-3) Make selection of required mail folfders from AOL accounts.

After AOL mail folder selection, apply the steps shown below for AOL Email Backup and Migration: -

Download AOL Emails to PST, EML, EMLX, MSG, HTML, MHTML, MBOX, PDF, and Thunderbird mail files : -

Step-4) Select a file type from drop-down list of Export options.

Save in PST: - Export mail folders from AOL account and save all selected folders to single Outlook PST file.
Save in MSG:- Save each AOL email to separate Outlook MSG file.
Save in EML:- Extract AOL email and save individual EML file.
Save in EMLX:- Download AOL email and save to Apple Mail supported EMLX files
Save in HTML:- Export and save AOL emails to separate HTML files for web browsers
Save in MHTML:- Save AOL emails to separate MHTML files for web browsers
Save in MBOX (Folder-Wise):- Save each selected AOL mail folder to separate MBOX files.
Save in MBOX (Single MBOX):- Export emails from different folders of AOL account and save to a single MBOX file.
Save in PDF:- Preserve each AOL email to separate PDF files
Save in Thunderbird:- Directly download/Import selected AOL mail folders to Thunderbird local storage

Step-5) After choosing an export option, apply other required settings: -

Mail Filtering: - Filter emails by date and export emails from AOL mail folders of only selected dates.
Naming Convention: - Save resultant file with custom name defined by different naming combintaions by email attributes- from, To, subject.
Saving Location: - Manually choose a location from your local drive to save resultant files.

Step-6) Lastly, hit the "Save Backup" button and begin the AOL Email Backup process and download AOL emails to your local drive.

Migrate AOL emails to Cloud mail apps, by applying these below given steps: -

Step-4) Select needed AOL mail folders and press the "Import to Cloud" button

From the next opened screen, choose a cloud mail app from the options- Gmail, Office365, Outlook.com, Yahoo and IMAP.

Migrate AOL Emails to Office365 cloud: -

Step-5) Select Import into Office365 option click on Next.

Now enter your Office365 account email address, then hit on Convert, in the next opened screen.

Step-6) Login with Office365 account and begin the AOL email to Office365 migration.

Migrate AOL emails to Gmail/G-Suite account, applying these steps:-

Step-4) Select the Import into Gmail option, and click on Next.

Now input your Gmail account "Email Address" and "Google Third-Party App Password" then hit the "Athenticate login" button.

Note: - For migration, firstly create Google Third party app password

Step-5) After account authentication click the "Import to Gmail account" button and start the AOL email migration.

Steps to move AOL Emails to YahooMail Account:-

Step-4) Select the Import to Yahoo, from cloud app import options.

Enter your Yahoo Mail account email address and third party app password, then click on "Athenticate login".

Note: - Before migration, create Yahoo Third party app password

Step-5) Press the Import to Yahoo account button, after account authentication, and start AOL to Yahoo email Migration.

Export AOL Emails to Outlook.com/Outlook Web account:-

Step-4) Select Import into Outlook.com option and login with your Outlook.com account by providing email address & password.

Step-5) Lastly, hit the "Convert" button and start exporting emails from AOL account to Outlook.com/Hotmail.

Steps to Imort AOL emails to IMAP mail accounts: -

Step-4) Choose Import into IMAP from cloud import options.

In the next screen, enter your IMAP account email address, password, Hotsname and port.

Step-5) Finally, press the "Convert" button and start exporting emails from AOL mail account to IMAP mail apps.
