- First, ensure that the user has closed their server or local mail file.
- Then click on the option of File menu, choose Preferences, and then click on User Preferences

- Then in the communication ports list, click TCP/IP once
- You have to decrease the time-out value to 5 seconds if the user has already 60 seconds or more. Otherwise, increase the time-out value to 60 or 90 seconds.
- At last, click on OK.

Tip#1: Users can manually activate/replicate the line, “Sending outgoing mail” (or a similarly named line) after opening the “Replicator” page in their notes client.
Tip#2: You have to check the “Mail” tab by opening your current “Location” in Notes client. If your mail file location is “On Server” then test it, or if it is displaying the “mail file location” then change it to “On Server” for testing. Then, inspect the “Send outgoing mail” field, It shows “directly to Internet”, change it to “through Domino server”.
